I was really nervous to try this painting because I was worried about painting with black. I knew that with oil paint it would be hard to cover the black if I made a mistake. Turns out this has been one of my favorite paintings! The trees in the front are probably the best I've painted so far.
My boyfriend wanted a painting with "dragons" in it and this felt like the right painting to add them. I think they add to the spookiness I created.
