Indian Summer

Tom0779 22 Jan 2022

My personal style is more dark and subdued than others. This is my interpretation of 'Indian Summer' and this is how I like it. Sometimes people tell me to paint brighter and more happy, but this is not my thing, but it does not mean that I do not appreciate others paintings if they are in a bright and shiny style. What do you think?
I am a fanatic for details and I always need to avoid overdoing.

I love the gnarly tree on the left and the log and the color here! Very real.

Tom, this is very nice painting and colors as you did them. These colors bring it to much real feel and create calm mood and sophistication. I personally like it too.

I think the foreground tree is great. The colours create a secluded feeling and I really like the depth you created. There is still some brightness there too to draw your eye back to the centre. Lovely work.

I think it is gorgeous and I love the colour palette. Iā€™m also attracted to the darker paintings, they just naturally appeal to me. I love the haziness in the background and sky.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I am glad that one can see the several layers I tried to achieve from background to the foreground.

I think it's beautiful and natural. Great detail on the bark!
