After 3 paintings with oil I wanted to use acrylics again. This doesn’t mean that I don’t like the oil, but I still want to practice with the medium I started painting Bob Ross scenes. This one is on 30 x 40 cm paper. I started with the background a few days ago, I wasn’t really focused and I am afraid there are some weaknesses from that part, especially the evergreens in the middleground. When I continued today with the bushes in the center, I first painted them like Bob did, but I didn’t like them. So I went over with dark color and made them my way. I am not sure why the stream didn’t work as expected. Sorry for the low quality photo my mobile produces.
Great work Tom!
Thank you PaintRML & Jin7!
Shadowwork on the graas and that big rock really took my attention. Another beauty from you Tom!
Thanks Voy Kay!
Great lighting and depth. I especially love the texture of your foliage. Excellent work!
Thank you dracula. I create the foliage with filbert brushes. They are quite big in comparison with the size of the painting itself - its similar to Bobs oval brush. I don’t wet the brush and I use pure acrylic color without any water. I use a very gentle pressure and I load the brush frequently.
I see no weaknesses here. I think it's great!!
Thank you Froggie!

So peaceful! I really enjoy all the little stones. The water looks very realistic!
