Wilderness Cabin

Tom0779 08 May 2020

This one was painted with acrylics on 30 x 40 cm paper. It was very time consuming and took me more than 3 hours to finish it. In my opinion the sky didn’t blend well. A problem I often face with acrylics. Also the whole painting got a bit too dark. The purple trees are a funny idea from Bob. I think cabin, evergreens and grass are ok.

That cabin is a gem Tom, and those riverstones fit in very well! You said it yourself, graas, evergreens and foliage are a success. Well done!!

Thanks Voy Kay. I hope all the details are visible, unfortunately the quality of the photo isn´t the best.

A change of camera or location can do wonders! I often take 4 to 5 pictures in 2 or 3 locations, to make certai I catch the light on the painting at its best. :)

Good hint, next time I will do that, especially when the painting is a darker one like this. Thanks Voy Kay.

Anytime friend Tom, till next one!!

I agree with Voy .
The cabin and the water are very realistic as always.

Thanks a lot Jin7. I still feel more comfortable with acrylics than with oils. As next I plan an oil painting again.

I can hardly wait!! Success!! :) :) :)

@ Voy Kay: :) Lets hope the best... :)

Beautifully detailed cabin! Trees are very nice, they have this look like sun is behind. Beautiful grass and water.
