As I am currently too busy to paint new pictures, I thought about sharing some older ones. I started painting acrylics at the end of September 2019. This one was made 3 months after the beginning. I painted it on flat acrylics paper in size 15 x 20 cm. I made it more gray than the original one. There are a few parts of the painting which I think are not too bad. I couldn’t make an oval, but I think it fits here as well.
Thanks Sunnylady. I think about sharing other ones from last year too. I hope to find some time to paint some new ones soon. Maybe a nice experiment would also be painting again the first Bob Ross image I ever painted (it was S29E1 as far as I remember) and compare the results :)
That´s an awesome idea. I did the same. I am thinking to get something challenging from Bob and try it after my adventure with big seascape. Can you suggest something challenging from Bob?
Well to me there are a lot of challenging ones. One I did not try yet is S20E2. This one is similar to S20E10 and S20E12, which I both painted, S20E10 I did not share yet. I think this one is the most complex out of the three. An other one I struggled 2 times with is S16E7, but I have seen you already piantined this one. I also found S11E12 very challenging, as it has a lot of different components inside. I am not sure about most of the mountain and seascape paintings, I mostly do wood scenes with or without barns/cabins. These are my favorite motives.
The barn and the foliage are excellent!
Thank you Jin7, this was the first painting I used filbert brushes for the foliage.
@Sunnylady: I just came across S19E7. This also looks a bit challenging.
Tom, thanks, yes, this is challenging in terms of composition. This covered bridge as well will need to be worked out hard...
I think I give it a try with acrylics, it should be possible with them to get a result which is okay. Maybe this week, lets see.

Very wintery painting! I think the sky is so cold and it is just amazing! Thanks for sharing!
