I painted this one 7 months ago. It is acrylics on 24 x 30 cm paper. At the time I painted it I wasn’t very secure in painting evergreen trees. I probably made too much brown streaks in the sky. The cabin is just a very small one and for sure not the best I ever produced.
Tom, I think acrylic version brings some extra sharpness to the edges. It makes it crisp.
I think that old cabin is suited well for this painting.
However overall snow needs to show some yellows and purples. Shadows are always give opposite/complimentary color to the lighting.

Thanks Sunnylady for your remarks and hints. I think the yellow base color was a bit too weak here, the brown shadows under the trees/bushes are there but you can barely see them. I couldn’t find the original, maybe I gave it to someone, to check. But basically I am aware about not painting pure white snow😀.
