Sunset Aglow

Tom0779 20 Jun 2021

16th oil painting. I had not planned to ever do this one. But my kids requested that I paint exactly this episode.
I am not a big fan of very colorful pictures, so I tried to keep the sky as subdued as I could.
To highlight these small mountains with the Bob Ross knife is impossible for me. It is a way too big.
Canvas used is 40 x 50 cm.

Well done. Lots of complex elements here and you succeeded at them all.

Beautiful. I especially like the sky. I also find it very difficult to highlight mountains with the knife, so I often use the short edge of the small knife.

Thanks RosoLima & Umagaan for your feedback.
@Umagaan: It is really a good hint to use the short edge of the knife, I will try that next time. Seems my white is also a bit too soft for this technique.

This is really a nice and precise (in a good way) painting - love it.
