I wanted to do a very simple scene because this is a very small (to me) canvas of 11 x 14 inches. I also picked this one because only 4 people had previously painted it and that made me think more about how to make mine unique. I thought about adding a pine tree or 2 on the right, but decided against it because I wanted to preserve the simplicity. Maybe today is a day for painting the "underdogs". It was nice to complete a painting rather quickly (about 1 hour) This was hard to photograph and the shading and details are a little more defined in person.
