Japanese countryside path

Jin7 29 Apr 2020

I did this in oil with reference to a professional watercolor. It looks simple, but its composition is very complex. Be careful when drawing landscapes that include slopes like this. For example, this work has many vanishing points: road, roof, house, and rock wall Unless these angles are accurate, the work looks very strange.

You are right Jin, fabolous play with point of view. One is right in front of the scenery, else did would indeed look very strange.
Another beauty from you!!

Thank you both for your nice comments.
Sometimes such a landscape is also good.

You really have the feeling to watch a watercolor painting, that’s a very nice one.

Thank you Tom. If I get a chance I want to try again!
