Original Creation

Blue Floral

I don't think this is quite finished, I will re-visit and improve it if I can as I don't even think its an improvement on my last one. Never mind, I'm not going to beat myself up about it as I did enjoy it, I love the colours and I have a place in mind for it. Lowell Speers makes it look like child's play. Right now my florals feel a bit clumsy and not quite balanced, maybe I haven't put enough leaves in. I must get more practice and better brushes.

Thats great. I just tried one and it is a mess. I think I dont have the right brushes or as told by sunny lady the right paint. I am using regular Bob ross brushes and paint. I guess I need to see some tutorials. Great Job

Thanks J.D. I'm using Bob's paint too, which I've thinned down to what appears to be the consistency used by Lowell. I did a better job ages ago just messing about with acrylics on cartridge paper using the one stroke technique. I use only oil on canvas now but from that experience I learned that the paint does need to be soft, canvas would probably need to be smooth, and probably soft brushes also. I don't think either of us are going to get the results we want without the correct brushes to start with and then loads of practice. Tutorials are great but they give me ideas above my station. When I see how easily they get great results I always think I can do that, but that's not what actually falls out of my brush. I think it's worth sticking with though. I'll do one more.

Well u are doing a great job at it

I'm trying J.D. My hubby says I'm very trying!

I think it's lovely!!! I do think if you are doing Lowell Spears that he uses alot more foliage from what I've watched. Background s beautiful

Beautiful painting.

Awesome painting! Maybe you are right about to add more leaves. The way you did them is super! Daisies are super too! Nice and light bouquet!
