Original Creation

An other winter, some other barns πŸ˜‚

Tom0779 25 Oct 2020

As some of you might know, my favorite objects to paint are buildings. I especially like rural buildings, like barns, silos, little farm scenes etc...
So I have done this one yesterday after I did a break from painting. As mentioned in the comment of my last painting I want to continue with Line and Wash. this is A5 sized cold pressed paper. As usual the scene comes from a YouTube channel I follow.

Gosh, those thunderclouds coming from the back, rolling over that snowfiels towards the barn. Everybody in hiding .... the barn shines like never before!

Really beautiful. I really like how soft your paintings look. I have really no experience with watercolor but I really love what I see in your work. Definitely keep it up!

Thank you Voy & lightsnow. Your comments give me a lot of motivation to paint more. I hope there will follow some new ones soon!

Until you started posting your watercolor creations, I was never a very big fan of the watercolors I'd seen. You have opened my eyes though Tom, and I am always excited to drink in your new posts. There is so much to see on this one! I would have never imagined something this amazing was possible with watercolor. Goes to show what a talented artist you are!

Thanks doggymommee8301. Watercolor paintings can be amazing, not sure why a lot of people don’t like them. But this here is a special technique which (as far as I know) is based on the works of urban sketchers. And urban sketching is quite a new style of art. So these paintings are no classical watercolor paintings.
