Here I used black ink to create the big tree and the dark parts in the front. The branches were made with a fine liner as usual. The ink was applied with a synthetic round brush. If you clean it immediately you won't damage the brush. But I used a cheap old one.
Idea was from a YouTube tutorial. This is an other Christmas Card I painted on 10 X 15 cm postcard watercolor paper.
I'm beginning to fall in love with this technique, another absolutely stunning piece of work!
The tree is amazing. I feel like I could reach out and touch the bark
Thanks for all your feedback. I will post a few more winter scenes I did resp. will do for Christmas Card scenes.
Wonderful tree and so subtle shades in the sky.
Thank you very much ForestVueGallery.

It is great! The distance created here is overwhelming.
I very much like the big tree but even more the barb wire!
