Tom0779 04 Feb 2021

My third painting showing a caravan. I had a request to do 3 paintings with caravans. This is the third and last one for now.
Paper is Arches cold pressed 100% Cotton. Format is small 10 x 15 cm.
Technique is line and wash. Idea is from a YouTube Video.

Very nice caravan Tom, not my cup of tea as I'd rather stay in a hotel!! Brilliant painting though 👍

Very nice.

Fantastic painting Tom. The mountains have no line, that is very interesting! That is so much planning here to ensure colors mix where needed and do not go in unwanted spills. Love this painting!

Thanks to all of you for your feedback.
@Sunnylady: The mountains are quite simple to do. As watercolors are transparent they automatically have the sky color included as it is shining through. when you paint a mountain, with a very weak, meaning use little pigment and plenty of water, then you can create this effect with a "thirsty brush". This means, after you put on the color, just in very few tokes, then clean the brush and dry it. When you go then over the parts you want to have lighter, it will remove the damp pigment. This technique is really easy and extremely fast to do.
