Cityscape by night

Tom0779 14 Sep 2020

Today something totally different. This is A3 format cold pressed watercolor paper from Winsor & Newton. I like urban scenes as well as buildings and I found this wonderful idea recently on YouTube. I think one could call the style impressionistic. Unfortunately the photo doesn't return the real colors. I only used 3 of them: Raw Sienna, Indigo and Paynes Gray. I think one can see the watery effect on the street. Also I put in a few people silhouettes which I normally don't do.
I search for a Youtube channel which offers watercolor (or other media) tutorials of quite dark Cityscapes or even industry buildings. Anyone a suggestion?

Very nice! I really like this style of painting.

At first glance it looked like acrylic. Quite shocking what watercolors can do in yoir trained hands !
It is fantastic painting! If I stumble on something with industrial landscape I will share the link.

Thanks tholmes79 & Sunnylady. I am happy you like this one.
@Sunnylady: I searched for something on Youtube, but didn't find what I am looking for. Maybe I didn't use suitable search terms.

This is really the kind of style I like! Real nice!

Thank you Madame Mouton. It is also the style I like. Very loose and impressionistic. I don’t post such paintings very often.
