Original Creation

Deere at the forest edge

Tom0779 19 Feb 2021

I am always searching new challenges and found this wonderful idea on YouTube. I am not sure which direction I will go. This one is totally different, it is a painting who shows a strong contrast between dark and light with watercolors. I didn't do a lot scenes like this. The rough effect has been created with an acrylic brush and almost tube consistency paint.
Also it is one of a few animal paintings I did yet.
Technique is line and wash, format A5
Paper is W & N 100% cellulose, cold pressed.

I admire how you keep pushing yourself to try new things. Great work

Very nice Tom. This almost has the look of a gesso underpainting with an oil glaze.

This looks so different from your usual work but it still looks amazing! I love your deer and the delicate leaves falling in the background.

Just had to think of the patronus here from Harry P.

Awesome job with all those bracnhes and leaves.

The two groups of trees are so well done! And the lighting is amazing. This is such a cool painting.

How beautyful.. So proud that deere is standing there.

Wow Tom! This is amazing!
