Inspired by the lighthouse painting from Sunnylady I thought I give it a try to paint one in line and wash technique. I will do a few ones in the next days, but maybe not in one after the other but 2 or 3 as there are a lot of video tutorials on YouTube regarding Lighthouses. It is A5 sized cold pressed watercolor paper. I somehow feel I overworked the hill, not sure if this was good.
Thank you Sunnylady. In Austria we don't have a coast on the sea, so to me those buildings are very unusual, but they are nice and popular painting objects. So I think I do a little series. And I never painted them before, I like to try new things :)
Congrats with your super badge!
Thank you :)
I LOVE this! I don't know anything about how to use watercolors. I've only used oil paint.
Thank you very much MsBlueEyez. Recently I painted a lot in watercolor, I also paint with acrylics and oils. Maybe you want to have a look at my other paintings with watercolors.

Tom, this is a wonderful beautiful painting! Stone is so detailed and so much contrasting that I am again surprised about properties of watercolors.
Looking forward other lighthouses! According to wiki they are slowly disappearing as not needed anymore.
