Micro sized paintings

Tom0779 13 Oct 2020

Here are some paintings I did in tiny formats. I do this paintings just for my amusement, they make no real sense but it is a funny challenge to draw and color those tiny scenes. All those ideas are from a Youtube channel I follow. I use a very cheap watercolor paper for these paintings as it doesn't really matter. I use a very thin pen and a number 1 script liner brush for them.

WOW! no more words, Tom! you left me speechless ... in a good way. It is absolutely super!

I remembered about this camels in the needle I saw in the museum. Have you seen anything similar?

Voy Kay Conqueror of Challenges

I'm always thrilled by my daily Tom-painting but now .... we get four of them!!

It's incredible, I keep wondering how you attach or hold these while you are painting them? Do you glue them at the back??
The diversity is just another great surprise, as there is even an island, or a shore, or a seascape in it!
Makes me as an artist even tinier then these stunning creations.
True beauties!!!!

@Sunnylady: thank you for your comment. I think those camels are really tiny, in comparison my paintings are giant πŸ˜‚.
I have seen something similar recently on TV where someone made tiny sculptures, I think they where made from a piece of soap. But I can’t remember for sure. And those were definitely bigger.

@Voy: thanks for all your positive feedback. Basically I hold the painting with my fingers down. I always change positions so it somehow works.
Before and during my study time I worked at an optician to earn some extra money. During this time I learned to handle very small things and it seems like this still helps me πŸ˜‚

@Sunnylady: now I can remember. It were sculptures made from the tips of pencils, like e.g.
Video is in German but I think the talking stuff isn't really needed... It is amazing. And the artist is from Russia!
