Original Creation

Rural Autumn Scene

Tom0779 02 Nov 2020

I Haven't painted a lot recently as I was very busy. I had planned to reactivate my acrylics skills, but somehow I didn't get the kick to do so. I really like the line and wash technique and I plan to continue here. This one was finished a few days ago and I have donated it. It is A5 sized, cold pressed watercolor paper from Winsor and Newton, 100% cellulose. As usual I followed a YouTube tutorial. I plan some other houses.

Super detailed!
With creations like this, nobody minds here you didn't take acrylics on!

I could say a lot about this but let me tell you what really caught my eye, and that's the window framing, the fence on the right and specially the worn singing wire!

All of your work is incredible.

Tom, another great painting from you! I like it a lot, it seems that colors were just a bit more saturated in this one, and thus attracts a lot of attention straight away!

I really like this, such a peaceful scene from the past.

Absolutely stunning! I really like the fact that you donated it. How thoughtful!

@Voy: Thanks a lot for your feedback. it is interesting to hear what are the eye catchers for you. I think everyone will mention different things here, but most people will mention the power lines.

@Sunnylady: well I normally don't use a lot of pigment in my watercolor paintings, it is a personnel preference. But recently I have tried to use a bit more, see also my next painting I will upload today. I guess for an Autumn scene it is fine to use a bit more color...

@doggymommee8301: Thank you for your continued support. I donate a lot of my paintings to friends and family. It gives me a good feeling if someone really wants to frame one of my paintings and present it.
