Yesterday I uploaded a painting of an old window. Today I made an old door. 😀
Again painted with line and wash technique on A5 cold pressed watercolor paper. I know there are no mountains and trees in this one (nothing against paintings including mountains and trees!!) but I hope that someone embraces the diversity in the painting world and enjoys these kind of scenes too.
Thanks Felix. Before I was only interested in painting landscapes, but with the 'line and wash' even such scenes became an option for me. Because here you have that contrast of the sharp edges with the soft watercolor which creates a very interesting effect... for me.
It's always a nice change to see creations other than a landscape. Love the deceptive simplicity. Though I know very few works of art are actually simple. Bravo!!
Thanks Froggie. Well this looks easier than it was. I would not recommend this for a beginner in watercolor 😀

Makes you wonder what's behind the door..
I like the dark door handle in contrast to the whiteish door itself.
Your line and wash paintings are coming along great
