This one is watercolor on A4 size good quality paper. I found this one on YouTube and thought it is a nice effect. What I didn't guess is the work time. usually I am quite patient. I painted some Bob Ross paintings which I needed more than 5 hours, especially in acrylics. But to paint the trees here with a liner brush was too much for me. I almost gave up and did not want to finish, later i just painted them in very roughly which I think doesn't look good. anyhow I thought I share it, maybe someone likes the idea and has the mood to paint this exactly.
Yes, for real, really great work!
Thanks both. I need to figure out how to efficiently paint evergreens with watercolors. I think they can be done much better and thus the quality of the painting isn't like I wanted it to be.
The tree shapes you made are very readable and recognizable. The center foreground tree particularly have that compelling deliberateness that makes watercolor so special
Just enough details without overworking it. Good stuff!
Thanks. @Felix: I couldn’t overwork this. Painting those trees with the rigger drove me crazy 😂
