Original Creation

Night fox

09 Sep 2022

Another animal (from a photo) in acrylic 16x20. I had several oil paintings done early on in my Bob Ross style learning that I decided to sand down, gesso over to re purpose. (I know you are not supposed to paint acrylic over oils, but these are fun pieces not meant for museums LOL). I chose to do close up acrylic animal paintings, as I believe it was a good way to both hide and utilize the textures you can see from the old paintings.

love this, a very foxy fox indeed!

Very nice. Love the reds you have included. I have some old canvases I should paint over.

Such a beautiful painting! This is lovely as well because I see freedom and no restriction in the brush strokes. I love this fox more than the previous, this one is full of life.

Really awesome use of old canvases and it is terrific! Love the eyes and your colors!

Thanks Kevin! I almost named it "foxy fox" LOL.
Thanks Robert! I chose the red to make the orange and golds brighter with contrast (Thanks to Bob - "you need the darks too see the light").
Thank you Sunnylady! I feel the same way about painting the two different ones. I can always tell the paintings I do where I fell more relaxed or "in the groove" - they always turn out better!

Thanks Sandy! I am glad I could turn some not so good old paintings into something worth hanging!

Sooo good...nice one Pam!👍

Thank you David!

Thank you Tom! Your support is always appreciated!
