Does anyone get a runny nose during and after painting? I have noticed this after I started painting again.

Coldethel I have not observed anything similar yet, but I can remember one community member mentioned that he/she (I am sorry I can't remember the user name yet) has problems with oils and thus painted with acrylics instead of oils. I think about the name, maybe you can exchange.

Coldethel When i use turpentine (real one) i have sore throat and light pain in the eyes. Would not be surprising if you get other symptoms. I always try to have enough ventilation if that is possible. Unfortunately i cannot paint outside... too hot. Hope you will feel better and hope it is not related to painting... please take care about yourself and maybe read SDS(safety data sheets) for you painting materials.

No runny nose, but I can get a headache sometimes. I am an RN so I feel comfortable suggesting you try an OTC allery med before you paint. Claritin (generic) in inexpensive and effective.

Thanks, I believe I will try the allergy medication.
