I am in awe of Hado's beautiful flower paintings and would like to try myself. I've watched quite a few tutorials and they seem to use very soft oil paints. I do have loads of bob ross firm paints and I'd like to know if it's possible to soften these up adequately for flower painting, or do I need to buy a whole new set of softer paints? I'm not looking to create a masterpiece, just to have a try, and to enjoy the process. Any advice please?
Flower painting using oil paints
I think Hado may help more. I am sure you don’t need to buy a new set of oil paints as medium will resolve the stiffness issue. I would recommend to simply add one to few droplets of linseed oil and mix well to desired consistency.
here is very good article below:

I saw in one of the early videos from Garry Jenkins they have medium’s vial and dip the brush in it. Try to find it on FabriFlora channel on YouTube. Best oil flowers I saw in video tutorials.
Sunnylady Thank you sunny, much appreciated.
Sunny, I didn't have any linseed oil so I added liquid white which did work to an extent, it still felt a bit dry in places, then the tendency is to load more paint which doesn't achieve the desired effect. I'll do another one when my oil arrives. Thanks again.
Good luck with that! I am sure you will succeed. My understanding flowers need way more practice in the brush strokes, pressure and paint consistency. All the best in your flower journey!
