I probably should have asked this a while ago but I was wondering if anyone has a tabletop easel they would recommend? The one I'm using now is ok but it's not great for Bob's technique. If I tried to tap the way he did without actually holding the easel it would end up on the floor. Plus I don't like when the holding clips on the top and bottom get in the way.

I use a cheap easel I bought at Michaels with a pair off C clamps to hold to the table top. I also put fine grit sand paper on the bottom of the easel legs to help keep it from sliding. I could probably use it now to anchor my truck 🙂

Mine works perfectly. But it's a custom made easel by Deserres, called Charles Tabletop Easel, has a little drawer, accomodates even large canvases and is heavy enough not to move. Plus it has a handle to carry it like a suitcase. Deserres is a Quebec/Canadian art store.
