Hi - for those who don't know me, I TRY and raise funds for charitable UK Hospices who offer end-of-life care for terminally ill people, both adults and children.
I was given permission by a lot of members of TwoInchBrush.com to copy some of their paintings and offer them to UK Hospices as fund raising items to help during the Covid pandemic and the current recession-hit times. The work that was donated was really appreciated by the Hospices and generated a lot of interest. I am in the process of rejigging my website to try and keep interest going within the hospices. The website I will be using is called www.hospicefundraising.uk . To see some of the original offerings please visit either there or www.minerva-software.co.uk on either a PC or a mobile.
I have not run the mailshots offering the artwork for the last six months due to ill health, which is now cleared fortunately. As part of the last mailshot I was asked if I could supply any child-friendly artwork, as opposed to the art shown on my website. There are huge numbers of children in hospitals and hospices long-term who could do with a bit of cheering up and encouragement to take up art as a hobby or pastime. Could I suggest that an event be considered to creating some pieces? They can be anything from cartoon characters to scenes from kids movies such as Frozen or Harry Potter. Please do not directly copy intellectual property from other companies but I leave it up to you to decide your subject, anything would be great.
I really do appreciate the contributions from you and the help you give to the hospices. The hospices are not businesses but are charities run on donations from the public. The vast majority of the are not-for-profit organisations that really care about helping keep terminally ill people as comfortable as is possible in the last days of their life when they are unable to look after themselves.
More charitable fund raising
Great idea Colin...
I love this idea Colin. I will try to put forth my best effort. Is there any particular painting that seems to be more appropriate?

To be honest, I am open to all ideas. My childhood, and my children's childhoods, are in the dim and distant past so I am not current on what kids (of any age) like. My own feelings are the subject painting will be there for them at the darkest period of their life so may need to be both happy, interesting and be able raise their spirits just by looking at it. I don't think your paintings have to intricate, just something that they can understand and associate with happier times.
Sounds easy doesn't it. Yeah right....
@Colin Hudson#3058 Exactly.

@Colin Hudson#3038 I am super excited about this event!!! I know what I will be creating for your charity fund raising! This is an amazing idea and I am happy to be able to help/participate. I should have something submitted by the end of the weekend!
Guys - bit of an update.
To protect your work I have put a password on the Paintings page of the website.
The User ID is (Case sensitive) BobRoss and the password is Happy.
I did it this way to help everybody remember it 8-)
The website is https://www.hospicefundraising.uk/.
Thanks everybody for sharing all your hard work.
Hi Colin! I am super excited to create a wonderful new painting for the children! In addition to my future submission, I have one previously painted of a colorful piggy - not sure if you can also use it. See my painting titled "this little piggy". **The thumbnail picture is a better brighter color.

Hi - I guarantee that I will use it! I meandered through your paintings - they are beautiful. You could have a page dedicated to just your animals - they are so good and appealing. Thank you. This little piggy is going up on the site now!
Thank you so much Colin for the genuine compliment! You may use ANY or ALL other paintings of mine that you would like to use for the hospice fundraising. As a hobby artist, i do not have any issue with sharing my art or donating images for charitable fundraising. I do have some reproduction pieces and fan art of a few that would get into copyright issues, but most are ok. It would be such an honor to know that my art can help such a wonderful cause. I have a soft spot for any charities that concern children with illnesses. Let me know if you have any questions.

That is really kind of you. I will certainly set up a new page on the site for some or all of your work. They are really appealing. Thank you.
I have put a lot of them under the page Pets and Others! but I will probably shift them round into some sort of order. Have a look and tell me any changes you would like.

Oh Colin, it is wonderful that you created a page just for my paintings! I think that there are a few paintings that I might have a better quality photo of if you need -
Wildfire, anatomy of a wave, and Sekia. Please let me know how I can email them ? to you if you would like.
Also I see that tiger picture (done in chalk actually) I did when I was 14 years old! I always thought that one was cool. Perhaps it could be noted like that (done at age 14) so it might inspire a young artist I do not care either way if you choose not to do that. Just a suggestion.
I would enjoy putting your work on the site, the more the better! Can you email to me at colin@hospicefundraising.uk or, if they are too big to email them, it may be possible to find another way through TIB. Looking forward to seeing them. Thanks again. Colin
p.s. I was going to nick a few more of your scenic ones as well if you don't mind 8-)
I have just completed my monthly mailshot toe the hospices. I have also changed the website a bit so if you have the time please look at hospicefundraising.uk using user_id BobRoss and password Happy - both are case sensitive.
