Curious to know which one of the JOP series is your favorite one and why? And in that series, which one make your heart sing?

Mine is series 21. I painted 10 of 13 of the compositions. I just love the scenes that Bob produced in this series. My fav is Serenity (episode 4). The glow behind that gorgeous old oak tree, the warm purple colors, the lush foliage and that stream make me want to find that place and live there for the eternity. 🥰

It’s series 30 for me I think. Bob did a really good variety of scenes with those 13. Great question N!

I think series 31. Knowing it was his last and that he was sick and how hard it must have been for him. They say lymphoma doesn't cause a lot of pain, but you're tired, constantly exhausted, and feverish. I noticed at the beginning of each painting he is a little slower than earlier seasons, almost like he didn't want to get going, but once he did get going, you can see it energize him as he works. Knowing that he did an entire series in a 3 or 4 days amazes me.

I've painted about 14 or 15 of the series to date and I think I like Series 1 the best so far. I like the rugged, natural quality of the compositions and appreciate the no-nonsense approach, meaning I don't have to cut out oval stencils or paint on saw blades or whatever. Just straight ahead landscape painting, which is what I enjoy most!

dracula I agree with you, I also like the early seasons more. They are as you say straight landscape painting. Less equipment (brushes, colors) is needed as well. Maybe they aren't that eye catchers because of just being straight landscapes. But for me also this is what counts
And they are more close to Bill Alexander who I clearly prefer as art instructor.

NTZArt yes I have finished season 30. I still have around 45 more paintings to complete the entire JOP and now I can add season 32!👌

I love season 25 all of them are my favourites, I have watched them several times now.

dracula I totally agree about the more natural & rugged look. As Tom mentioned, def more of a Bill Alexander flavor to them!

If I have to choose just one, it would be season 2. I think Ebony Sea is my favorite in the series. As others said, the work is more rugged like Bill Alexander, but, Bob Ross, like me, is growing.
