This thread is for discussion about the event.

The event has been cleared with Dona's husband Hans.

I've waited until now to start the event, because it seems people are more eager to paint during the colder months of the year, and wanted to make sure there is enough participation.

I am also sorry to hear this sad news and think it it is lovely to have the community come together to commemorate her with this event.

Thank you to Felix and Hans for this opportunity for us all to come together in honour of our Hado. Her art was so distinctively hers and she will be remembered fondly.

I'm sorry I was unable to create a painting especially for Hado. I had surgery recently and recovery is slow. I can't sit long enough to work on anything right now. But I've enjoyed seeing all the entries and I've voted for you all as they are all perfect in their own way. I am sure Hado would have been thrilled to see so many wonderful tributes.

I still can't wrap my head around Dona's passing. My heart is very heavy... πŸ˜’πŸ’”

Thanks for the votes. I didn’t know Dona but I know she was a beautiful artist. Prayers for the family.

tel Thank you tel, I really appreciate that. I don't want to make this particular thread about me, it wouldn't be right, but just to let you know after being cancer free for 20 years its back again. The good news is its contained and treatable which I am thankful for. Happy just log in for now but I'll be back painting soon🀞
