Seems each time i re-order supplies the price has gone up!... I generally buy on E bay as there are zero art supply stores near me, but the cost of paint and canvases is getting silly.
I used to buy winsor and newton for the quality boards they produce ,but now even the budget boards are silly prices when you consider what they are, and as for the oil paints a single 37ml tube is now £8 a pop....and why do W&N suppliers charge more for some colours than others?. The most popular colour is Titanium white which is almost always out of stock and when you can get it you will pay more for it.....Bah!!!!! 😮😮

I have found large tubes of W&N Winton titanium white cheap on Amazon a couple of times. I've got three 200mL tubes at the moment just because I buy one each time I see it go on sale. If I were you, I'd sign myself up to the email lists of a couple of different online art supply stores. That way you'll know who has what on sale and when.

As I understand it, different colours can be different prices because some pigments are more expensive than others. Some brands will separate the colours by their price-points and label them "Series 1", "Series 2", etc.

Thanks Regan, i use water mixable oils which aren't available in 200ml , interested to read what you say about pigment price differences, this never occured to me
