Sit when I paint outside at my camping table, stand when inside in my mini-studio.

I stand for large paintings and sit for small paintings. Not sure what the size cutoff is. Either way, I stand back from the painting many, many times.

I sit with my table easel. Even in high school I sat on a tall stool at a standing easel. I agree with Dracula size would make a difference for sure. And definitely good to step back often.

If I work with an easel (oils and acrylics) I always stand whereas with watercolors (I just stick the paper on a board there) I sit.

I always stand when I'm doing the Bob paintings. I get too antsy. I'm constantly stepping back to look at it.
For my original art, I just sit. Unless, I'm working on something huge.
