I haven't done a cabin in a while so decided on this one today. I thought the sky Bob used here was quite pretty. I enjoyed doing this one and it was nice to do another cabin.

Beautiful! It looks so perfect. Better than BR hands down!! Looks like you followed the book too. There was more nice little details than the video. Do you go by both when you paint?
I definitely did follow the book. I used to follow the videos when I first started until I discovered the books. I will still reference the videos if I need to know how Bob made a particular effect. Sometimes the books, especially the early seasons, the wording in the books isn’t the best. Meaning the order you need to do things isn’t real clear. So then I’ll reference the video in those instances.
I started to do both. I will read the instructions in the book, then watch that whole section on the video (just to make sure I get it right), and then paint it. Thanks for the tip about the earlier seasons!
