Splendor of a Snowy Winter

JosephDurham 10 Feb 2022

A handful of months ago I ran across this Instagram account that was littered with BR paintings. I thought they were originals. And then I learned they were all done by a CRI with an amazing talent! Natures Brush Studio.

As I was looking at all of them I ran across this silhouette style Bob Ross and I fell in love with it. I can’t explain it, I just did! I had to do it. I finally got to do it today. I really am happy with this one.

Thank you so much Ted for the wonderful idea and all of your help!!

This is slendid Joseph, what a great idea and how well you painted this!

I'm curieus .... how did you get the face done? Some tape for the edges to protect it from the main painting and then black gesso?

Love this Joseph! Great job all around.

Thank you so much everyone.

I found a projector at the local art store. I took the BR logo and it projected it onto then canvas. Traced it. The eyes and beard were done with black gesso and then I used painters tape to protect what I didn’t want painted. I would have never figured the last step out had Ted not helped me.
