This is my second attempt at this painting. I swapped out the generic mountain for Mt. Rainer, and I added another set of trees closer to the water. My goal was to make it seem like the viewer is just seeing the top of the mountain, so next time I would make the cloud layer between the mountain and the foothills bigger.

Great looking mountain. Before I read your description, I was thinking it looks like Mt. St. Helens so I was close.
