Mountains of Grace

Mgiese84 25 Aug 2022

This was one of two Steve paintings I had left to do. I like this one because the distant mountain is shaped a little differently than normal.

The distant mountain is really well done...such a sheer drop on it! All other details are super as usual!

Thank you Sandy

Beautiful as always. Love the bright colors. That birch tree is awesome.

Thanks Tom. I don’t know what to say on your stuff either lol. Regarding the fan brush I either use the BR brand or Sepio (on Amazon). Whichever is on sale at the time I order haha. I probably say they last a month depending on how many paintings I do in that time. What I like to do is use the fresh fan brushes for evergreens and stuff that needs more crisp details and then I’ll use the old ones for clouds and things where crispness isn’t as important.

Beautiful! Your mountains have all become show stoppers now. And the birch tree is exceptionally real looking - perfect!

Thanks so much Pam!

Lol yea Tom. The class I teach they provide much too soft of fan brushes and they really can’t do the job. And I had misspelled that brand from Amazon. It’s actually called Repino.
