I have not painted too many of the desert landscapes, but I like them. I like to imagine the dust in the dry air.

Beautiful Dracula! Everything is, but I love those rocks!
Terrific! Those rocks are so real - I can feel their nooks and crannies! I am wondering about your repair process. I have also had a couple of canvases received with pretty big tear/hole (over 1 inch). My repair method is to apply a piece of mesh drywall tape (self adhesive) to the back, then I apply thin layers of white gesso (drying in between coats) on the front of the tear until it seems "solid"

Oh, one other interesting thing: this canvas (my last one in a pack of 3) had a rather large tear/hole in it. I was able to repair it and paint over it in such a way that I am not sure it is at all visible.
