A Pretty Autumn Day

1/16/2023 A Pretty Autumn Day #2 - s24e5

A repeat of my last painting, this time in landscape orientation.

I screwed up the clouds a bit in this one. I wanted to use several colors in this one for the foliage.

I masked of the frame a little differently this time and when I applied the liquid clear, I started in the center of the painting and only went to the edges when the liquid clear was spread very thinly. I am trying to avoid bleed under the tape.

The painting went fine with no particular issues after the clouds. I removed the masking tape and to my surprise I did not have to touch up anything on the frame at all. The way I applied the liquid clear made all the difference in the world.

My favorite part of this painting the the grassy foliage on the right of the painting. I actually got my shoreline rocks to look semi decent with the palette knife.

18x24 canvas. Painting #74 in my awesomely fun Bob Ross experience. (fun fact: 28 of these are original compositions, rest are mainly Bob Ross paintings). Never created a painting in my life before Feb 1, 2022. I am really enjoying the journey.
