First try at Island in the Wilderness, 8th painting overall. Got a new fan brush so my trees are looking much better, bushes not so much lol. Anyone have any tips for doing bushes? What brush they use for them? The one inch brush works ok, I’m just not good with it yet lol. Thank you 🙏

Very nice work! You can always use a 1” or the half round brush. I am just starting to be comfortable with the 2” & 1” brushes. It’s all in the way you load the paint on it, the consistency of the paint and the pressure you apply on the canvas. When you apply your dark background paint for those bushes, use the 1”. It doesn’t really matter how it looks like and it will start giving you some good practice with it.
For only your 8th, this is really good. Nice depth to the painting.
