Seascape

gcp42 02 Apr 2023

Tempera, paper

- I don't like the waves much.
- Cloud are okay though.

I think that highlightin clouds regarding thier position from the sun is not right (although I did it this way here). They should be highlightedfrom the same side.

Wow I really like what you did with this one, i found the seascape painting so hard, both times I tried it i was not real pleased with the result, i think both the subject matter and the color I struggled with but the way you've blended the oranges and pinks in the sky and the water and the character and perspective in your fence and foreground.. looks beautiful! Very nice job!!

Very cool. I have never tried this painting technique.

Thank you so much. I think this one might be my best so far.

What I think was a good idea that wasn't in the original Bob Ross version, I added a "plume" of yellow into the background color of the sea - and just "hypnotised" it in together with the blue.
Actually, when it comes to colors, tempera is a blast to paint with. It's the shapes that are a problem though - at least for me. I find it a "smudge or nothing" type of paint.
