This was tough and I was never really satisfied with the painting as a whole, but parts of it turned out well. I was looking around outside and noticed just how many trees have bark that is almost completely white, so I went for that look on the one on the left. The tree stump really comes across hollow and jagged the way I wanted. And the rocks turned out well.
