This was a two-canvas painting from the beginning. I included the cabin originally, but it looked so bad I let the forest cover it over. The finished product looked awful to me, so I left it in my workroom for a time out. When I got the courage to look at it a few days later, I realized it wasn't as bad as I'd thought.
