Light at the Summit

Ninoum 07 Oct 2023

I decided to do another one from series 29… I closed my book and reopen it blindly to a painting I haven’t done yet in that season. Here is the pick of the day.

Again, I went with the book details. And a little friend came by to say hello. 😉

Little touch ups will be needed… the fence looks very small to compare to the size of my cardinal. Got a solution for that and will be attaching my updated version to this post tomorrow.

⚠️ Updated Painting⚠️
Here is what I did…
1) Lengthened my right sided fence and make bigger posts;
2) Increased the size of the branch my cardinal is perched on;
3) Put my cardinal on a diet… I downsized him and made him more of a vibrant red.

Hope this look more proportionate. I am satisfied with my touch ups. 😊

Good Morning, Nancy . Super technique as allways . Beautiful and impressive . High Level 👍🏼🇩🇪☕️I need coffee now before I go to work 😎

Very cool!

The trees are gorgeous and the sun almost makes you have to look away but if you do you will miss a fantastic sunset/sunrise?! Great trail too!

Happy Saturday my friend! 🇩🇪😀 I always appreciate you stopping by and giving me your comments. Don't work too hard so you can paint soon again! 😉

Thank you Cosmo! 😃

Many thx B!! The sunlight is almost blinding you like driving at sunrise/sunset with the sun in front of you. Can't tell if the light is red or green. Lol!!

Fantastic as always Nancy :)

Just gorgeous! Love the cardinal in the middle and your details are perfect as always!

The small tree is just glowing with light! In my "Visitor" practice paintings I had trouble with the bird also. Husband said it looked good, I replied "That's a foot and a half tall cardinal!" I know you're going to work it out beautifully. Can't wait for the updated version.

Many thx Tony! 😀

Thank you Sandy! 😀

Thanks my friend Tomi! I guess it’s a learning experience for the bird! Lol! Will work on it shortly. Just finished work. 😊

Great save Nancy!

Nicely done. This episode was my first oil painting ever after having done only watercolors and acrylic pictures. You did very well.

Awww! Thank you Tomi!!! ☺️

Many thx Tom! Our 1 painting will always be a very special one!

Good one, Nancy.
I like what you did with the fence in the edited version.

Thx Titia! ☀️
