11" x 14" oil on canvas. Absent a tutorial, I relied on others' interpretations of this scene and winged it. A fun way to spend an afternoon. Thanks for visiting!
Very nice work .great trees. How long have you been working on it? ππΌπ©πͺ
My first thought was "this is so pretty and it's not a bob ross". I often find the work of others more inspiring and I too enjoy doing my own thing, can't resist it! I'm not fond of Bob's distant "stick" trees or rolling hills and they put me off, but you nailed it. Love the detail in your foreground trees and bushes.
Very nice Jon, yeh all viideo's of Steve (and Dana) are removed from YT, but it seems you don't need them ...
Thanks, Sandy, Dirk, Helen, and Jos! I spent about 4 hours on this (about average time for me). The tree/bush highlights were done with the tips of a 2" nylon, wall-trim brush from Lowe's. I am learning that including some phthalo green with the yellows gives vibrant greens.
Wow! I love both the distant misty and detailed foreground areas!
So much beauty in one painting. Spectacular work!
Thanks, H.L. and Kerri, glad you liked it!
