Winter Night

This painting was done on a normal white canvas, but covered with a layer of liquid black, I used black paint mixed with linseed oil for that. As far as I know this is the only painting Bob did a 'vertical' double load of the brush: deep loaded for the highlight color, then he dips the top the brush in the dark color, but I'm not crazy about this technique used for some trees. It was hard to put the snow on with the knife, because of the rough surface of the canvas. I did it on wallpaper of 40 x 30 cm.
