I clearly needed to thin my titanium white with liquid white (or thinner). You can see where I realised this, on the foliage at the top of the trees. I started to thin the paint on the lower limbs and the bush in the centre of the painting, with better results (thin paint sticks to thicker paint).
Bob's guest painter Diane Andre practically always thins her paint whenever she paints foliage. I will do this from now on, as my paint is probably lower quality than Bob's paint.
