Evening at the Falls

🎨 Learning to paint stream #7 - My Twist on "Evening at the Falls"

I added some Scarlet to the sky to give it a more ominous feeling for the Spooky season. Really struggled adding highlights because I think I went too heavy with the coat of liquid clear underneath. Made the paint very very thin, but I am still quite pleased with how I improvised through some of the challenges.

With liquid clear you have to be very careful for me it is often too sticky. The last two paintings I painted completely without.Nice work πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ

Using liquid clear is tough. Wipe as much off the canvas as you can with paper towel before painting.

Like your use of purples

Agree with the comments above re liquid clear. Mine is also too sticky as is, so I add 5-6 drops of linseed oil to the brush to help with flow, brush on vigorously to evenly coat, then wipe the canvas with a paper towel before adding color.
