Things are improving. There are a lot of things that I really like about this one. I still can’t get my foliage and bushes where I want them to be. I think I’m going to try a darker background color and really focus on layers.

Looking good. Agree with you that dark underpainting will help the brighter colors of your foliage pop. Just need to ensure that the highlight color is thinner paint.
