Had a lot fun making this one. I am happy with how it turend out. My base color was a bit greener than Bob's. Only thing I dont understand is how do Bob's leaves and bushes turn out so crisp and precise despite using a two inch brush. I used a one inch and just couldn't get them so nice. My paint would just start mixing and wouldn't come in a nice pattern. If some could link me a good tutorial for this effect I would be grateful.
I like your painting especially the way the teees fade to light blue green. For the pattern of the tree branches, it makes a difference to use the corner of a stiff brush, wetter paint on the top layer. I try to follow fat over lean rule, so I use oil to thin the paint. Bob defintely mastered brush control.
Really a great painting!

Well, basically coz the bloke was a genius. I think it's just practice Roko. The results are affected by how wet the canvas is, how much paint you have on the brush and how wet that is, how much pressure you put on the brush, and the type of canvas you use. And even then, it sometimes goes well and other times it doesn't. I think wet on wet is misleading, try to think of it as damp on damp instead, especially when using a black canvas and see if that makes a difference. Make sure to use just the corner of the brush. Fuzzy appearance can happen if you keep going over the same bit. Watch bobs "the grandeur of summer", he explains things a bit more. I think your painting looks soft, nothing wrong with that.
