Seascape Fantasy 19 Sep 2019

Teeny tiny seascape fantasy on 5.5" x 7" canvas

This tiny painting is enormously amazing! How did you manage to be patient with this small size? I bet you had different set of brushes to do it...

I had a filbert brush to apply colors in more specific areas, but I still used a TINY corner of the 2" brush to blend most of what you see. I also used my filbert brush (clean and dry) to shade the waves in the background. I used the liner brush for the small foam lines, and then the small edge of the palette knife for the foam on the "sand". Hope this helps!

If you're in the US, even a cheap set of smaller brushes can be do-able to achieve the same thing. But yes, patience is definitely a tool to also have in abundance haha.

Thanks for the details, I never felt brave to do small painting due to the fear of detailing, i have filbert brushes at home, I have never used them for oil... Thank you!
