I liked the mountains here, that were a bit more shallow than Bob usually does, and I liked the pink sky, so I painted this. Painted on 55x46cm canvas.
I think I did pretty well here, but the far shore was placed a bit on the left, so I had to adjust what I included in the sides. I also failed to make the far shore come forwards a bit in the right, but I got more depth by fracturing the shore line more on the right side of the painting. It wasn't a big problem, a few more trees in the right, few less in the left. The highlights on the pines are not quite as broght as Bob's, but I like them, the pines around here are really dark even in sunlight.
I usually suck at mountains, but I think I did okay with this mountain. Breaking the paint is still hard.
I think this is one of my best ones yet! I'm really happy with it!
