Rolling Hills

dracula 01 Dec 2019

I had less time than usual to paint today so I tried to choose one that seemed a little simpler. I will say, I really enjoy painting distant hills. I only wish that I was able to preserve some of the red/peach part of the reflection in the water.

Thank you everyone! I appreciate your encouragement!

@SunnyLady: I think I would enjoy teaching people what things I know, though I'm not so sure anyone would be interested. Ha!

O yes Dracula i am, you are the greatest 👍

I would be interested too, at least we could paint together next time I'm in Austin. We can do plain-air.

@SunnyLady, do you come to Austin sometimes?

Yes, sometimes. Do you happen to travel to Houston?

@SunnyLady: I haven't been to Houston yet, but it's on my short list of places to go!

Those distant hills are truly very well done. I envy your ability to bring the light from the sky into the foreground making it look so natural and realistic. Beautiful scene!

This is stunning.

Better than Bob's. Absolutely stunning. I aspire for mine to be as beautiful.

This is back when I used to spend 4-5 hours per painting, which does make a kind of difference in terms of detail.
