Here's my first version of this very popular painting. To me it's unfinished, not having the colour overlay but my husband likes it the way it is and he won't let me change it.

Yes, this painting is great just as it is. What a wonderful mood it sets. Nice work!
Thank you for your comments. I'm tempted to add at least a little glow of light streaming through the trees, and with this technique it's possible to rub it off if you find you don't like it.
You also can wait till it dries for few days and then do glazing with very thin paint and do sun rays. I love contrast paintings, yours is great! It is real forest there!
